Vladimír Benč graduated at the University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovak Republic in 2000. He worked for the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry in between 2000-2001. Since November 2001 until today he works as a research fellow and project manager at the Research Center of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association, n.o., office in Presov. He is responsible for the Economic & Development Policy programme and he is also Head of the office in Prešov. Since 2003 until 2006 he was Head of the Regional Policy Section of the National Board of Third Sector in Slovakia and internal expert of the Slovak Republic National Convention on the EU for regional policy and development. He is visiting expert of the Slovak-Ukraine Governmental Commission for Cross-border Cooperation since 2007 and in 2009-2012 he was member of the Board of Directors of the Carpathian Euroregion Slovakia. His research interests are: regional policy and development, growth theories and cohesion, economy & trade, and cross-border cooperation.
Výskumný pracovník a projektový manažér. Ako pedagóg pôsobí na Fakulte medzinárodných vzťahov EUBA. Vyštudoval Fakultu politických vied a medzinárodných vzťahov UMB (PhD.). Absolvoval študijné a výskumné pobyty v Nemecku, Rakúsku, Česku, Moldavsku a v USA. Venuje sa problematike (zamrznutých) konfliktov v Euroatlantickom a Eurázijskom priestore, OBSE, NATO, EU – CFSP, CSDP a EaP, Latinskej Amerike, klasickým a novým prístupom k bezpečnosti a rozvojovej pomoci. Je reprezentantom SFPA a SR v "OSCE Network of Think Tanks and Academic Institutions".
Tomáš Madleňák works as a junior research fellow within the European Union research program of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association (SFPA) since 2016. His main areas of expertise and research are European Union, and its enlargement policy with special focus of the Western Balkans. Previously, he worked in the media company focused on EU debates EURACTIV.sk. He studied political science at the Comenius University in Bratislava.
Dušan Fischer, is the head of the International Security Program. Dušan graduated from the Program on Advanced Security Studies at the George C. Marshall Center, he also graduated from the University in Heidelberg, majored in American Studies. Dušan joined RC SFPA in 2014 and in his research he focuses on U.S. domestic and foreign policy, Euroatlantic relations, international security, and defense and security policy of Slovakia.
