National Convention on the European Union in Serbia 2006-2007
Overall goal of the project is to strengthen capacities of the and Montenegro (SCG) for EU integration process and to create the public debates forum, concerning the issue of the SCG integration into the EU, in the regions of . The main outcome of this project is to prevent the Serbian society from two kinds of deficits – information one and democratic one. The aim of the project is to prepare even better on the EU negotiations and also on the eventual EU membership. The National Convention on the EU in , as the permanent, coherent and continual thematically structured debate forum focused on the EU, represents a unique model which may help to improve the content and quality of the debate on the EU in this particular time horizon. From the institutional point of view, National Convention on the European Union is the most appropriate instrument for maintenance and further development of nation-wide discussion on the EU which will fulfil three main objectives:
