Gabriel Blanc is the Team Leader for the Reconstruction of Ukraine at the European Commission. Prior to this position he served as the Head of Sector for Maghreb (2021–2022). Before, as the Policy Officer at DG NEAR, he played a key role for almost 6 years in coordinating the DG NEAR policy on trade and private sector development. He also served at he Programme Manager in charge of private sector development programmes in the Eastern Neigbourhood.
His hands-on experience also includes serving as the Sector Manager for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in Kyiv, Ukraine (2010–2013), where he successfully implemented various projects to enhance energy efficiency. Before his tenure at the European Commission, Gabriel served in leadership roles at SOFRECO and Alstom, where he excelled in project management and business development. With a strong educational background, including a degree in Energy Engineering from Supelec, Gabriel Blanc combines technical expertise with strategic leadership in the field of energy, infrastructure, and economic development.
