The Crisis in Ukraine as an Impulse for the Eastern Policy of the Slovak Republic and the EU

Analysis of Slovak public attitudes and recommendations for Slovak foreign policy.
Alexander Duleba

The first part of the text analyses the findings of a representative survey of Slovak public attitudes towards the key issues of the Ukrainian crisis, conducted by FOCUS from 7 to 13 October 2014, commissioned by the Research Centre of the Slovak Society for Foreign Policy, n.o. (RC SFPA) for the purposes of the project MVZP/2014/56.

The second part of the study summarises the main issues raised for the EU by the Ukraine crisis and the subsequent Russian military aggression against Ukraine, while proposing recommendations for the further development of the EU’s policy framework for the Eastern Partnership and relations with Russia.
