Ukraine, Central Europe and Slovakia

Interests and prospects for cooperation- (International Conference Bratislava, 24-25 October 1997).
Alexander Duleba

The Research Centre of the Slovak Society for Foreign Policy in cooperation with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Representation in Slovakia jointly organised an international conference “Ukraine, Central Europe and Slovakia: interests and prospects for cooperation”, which took place on 24-25 October 1997 in Bratislava. 1. Ukraine and Central Europe: security and foreign policy aspects; 2. Ukraine and European economic and political integration; 3. 2. Slovakia and Ukraine: prospects for bilateral cooperation.

In the text, the author has tried to summarize the most important and interesting ideas that were expressed during the conference, as well as the conclusions that follow from them. The author has taken the liberty to abbreviate the papers presented and to process them into basic theses, based on two main criteria – their informative and argumentative value.

The publication is available in Slovak language only.
