NATO 2030 – analysis of selected issues

The NATO 2030 Study - Analysis of Selected Issues was prepared within the framework of the NATO 2030 Project - Document Analysis and Proposed Recommendations for Slovakia, which was implemented thanks to the support of the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic.

NATO’s next Strategic Concept should prepare the Alliance for a world of increasing global competition and security threats. At the same time, it should return to the Alliance’s core values and enduring goal of securing the freedom and security of all allies through political and military means. These are the basic starting points for the national-level discussions among member countries that are expected to take place between November 2021 and March 2022.

The group of seven authors set out to contribute to the national debate on NATO’s future strategic concept by briefly analysing selected issues published in the document of the independent NATO GT Working Group “NATO 2030: United for a New Era”. Each contribution includes recommendations that the authors see more as a contribution to the expert debate.
