The European Union today: current trends and relevance for Slovakia

Vladimír Bilčík and Martin Bruncko (editors)

This booklet aspires to be a modest contribution to a broader understanding of recent developments in the European Union and the challenges facing today’s candidate countries. Its authors have two main objectives. They seek to contribute to a general understanding of the processes of European integration on selected political and economic issues. At the same time, they briefly reflect on the implications of recent developments in these areas for Slovakia.

The choice of topics was primarily determined by the professional interest of the individual authors, who are either analysts or practitioners. The publication gradually deals with institutional issues, analyses the complex relationship between two key member states of the European Union and describes the Union’s foreign policy.

The publication is available in Slovak language only.
