Andrej Nosko

Andrej Nosko, PhD, is an expert on energy security and European energy policy. His research focuses on the political economy of security, regional energy cooperation in Central Europe, and the EU's dependence on energy imports. He earned his PhD in Political Science (summa cum laude) at Central European University in Budapest, with a dissertation on energy import dependence in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. His work has appeared in Energy Policy, Energy Research & Social Science, Energy Strategy Reviews and Nature Energy. He previously worked at the European Commission on internal security, and led a division at an international philanthropic foundation. He co-authored SFPA's 2022 study on Slovakia's potential contribution to regional gas security of supply, and contributes to the V4 Energy Think Tank Platform and the Central European Energy Conference.
