Indo-Pacific

The goal of the Indo-Pacific program, namely the geographical area from the east coast of Africa to the Pacific Island States, is to focus on analysis of major trends in security, economy, politics, society and culture. The affiliated experts research selected states or themes in the context of the latest strategies and initiatives of key actors, major trends, changes and their geopolitical implications for local governments, bilateral and regional cooperation, as well as interaction on the global stage. The research outputs deliver recommendations for the Slovak foreign policy and guide decision-makers to have more constructive engagements with countries in the Indo-Pacific and more broadly to help the European Union (EU) to achieve its priorities outlined in the EU Strategy on Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific.
