Andrej Juris has been leading the Office for the Regulation of Network Industries since July 2020. His professional vision is to establish an efficiently communicating state regulator that ensures fair prices, protects energy-poor and vulnerable consumers, and fosters innovation and competition in energy solutions.

In the environment of the state regulatory authority, he brings extensive work experience from the European energy sector and both the private and public spheres. Among other roles, he has served as the chairman of the board of Západoslovenská distribučná, vice president of the consulting firm NERA in the USA, and as a consultant for the World Bank, where he focused on analyzing and developing policies related to the regulation and liberalization of network industries. He is a graduate of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, Princeton University in the USA, and Jacobs University in Germany.

He considers systemic and transparent regulatory performance, support for competition in emerging energy markets, and the integration of innovative solutions into the regulatory system as essential prerequisites for the development of network industries in Slovakia.
