Peter Brezáni

Peter Brezáni

Peter Brezáni has been working at the Research Center of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association since 2003. He is an analyst at the Economic and Development Policy program. In his research, he focuses on Northeast Asia and development policy. He is also the editor of the Yearbook of Slovakia’s Foreign Policy and other non-periodical publications. He was a co-editor of the quarterly International Issues & Slovak Foreign Policy Affairs. He also works as a project manager and coordinator. He graduated from the Faculty of International Relations at the University of Economics in Bratislava (2002).

Central European Energy Conference (CEEC) 2021

The aim of the 15th CEEC conference is to discuss the upcoming changes in energy sector. The consequences of Covid-19 pandemic created an opportunity to speed up necessary changes of energy sector. The conference will discuss the opportunities brought by the Recovery Facility in V4 countries and will pay special attention to emissions reduction in cities, new developments in energy storage, rail sector, and decarbonisation in industry.

The project focuses on the operation and sustainability of the platform for an institutionalized public debate on European integration issues which is based on the partnership of governmental, non-governmental, business and interest institutions, as well as on strengthening Albania's capacity for EU accession negotiations – National Convention on the EU in Albania.

The Annual Review Conference on the Foreign and European Policy of the Slovak Republic is a platform that has a special position in the public foreign policy discourse. The uniqueness of this year’s edition will lie in its scope, as the conference will evaluate a period exceeding one year, the period of the Slovak Republic's existence in a changing geopolitical, security policy and foreign policy environment, which only underlines the exceptional place of the conference in the foreign policy debate in the Slovak Republic.
